About

I’m a Flutter developer based in Biratnagar, Nepal. At Matin Softech I build and maintain apps for clients: fleet and workforce management, multi-vendor e-commerce, vehicle tracking, and an offline-first field app for a client in the UK. Outside work I like projects that go past the UI. For EventMint I wrote the Flutter app, the API and the Solana program. I’ve also published a Flutter package on pub.dev and share short Flutter write-ups on LinkedIn. Other personal projects include an offline EPUB reader with its own parser and a Python service that cleans up scanned documents before OCR.

Multi-vendor e-commerce

A marketplace delivered as three apps: one for customers, one for vendors and one for delivery riders.

What I built

  • Separate customer, vendor and delivery apps
  • Payments through eSewa, Khalti and PayPal
  • Fixed race conditions in the cart and checkout flow
  • Added nearby-store recommendations based on location
  • Resolved dependency conflicts and Play Store compliance issues for the vendor app

Vehicle tracking

Live vehicle tracking with trip history.

Leaflet distribution field app

A field app for a leaflet-distribution business in the UK, built to keep working without a connection.

Architecture
Riverpod and BLoC for state, with Clean Architecture split into data, domain and presentation layers.
APIs and real time
REST APIs through Dio with interceptors, push notifications with Firebase Cloud Messaging, and WebSockets for live chat.
Releases
iOS releases managed in App Store Connect across multiple client accounts.
Maps
Migrated more than one client app from Google Maps to flutter_map and OpenStreetMap.
The harder parts
Background location that keeps running when the app is closed, geofencing, route playback, real-time chat and card payments with a manual fallback.
Sign-in and access
OTP verification, Google, Facebook and Apple sign-in, biometric check-in, and role-based screens and permissions.
Team work
Shared client codebases with several developers. I was the largest single contributor on several of them, and I add tests alongside new features.

A proof-of-attendance app for in-person events.

Reader

An offline-first EPUB reader for Android with no account and no backend. I wrote the EPUB parser and the page-rendering engine myself instead of using a package.

Document cleanup and OCR service

A Python service that removes grid lines from scanned documents before reading them, plus a small neural network I trained for a digit font that standard OCR could not read. It gets 92.7% of 124 held-out test images exactly right.

A highly customizable slot machine widget for Flutter with smooth animations, a skeuomorphic design and sound support.

What you can configure

  • Number of reels and visible rows, with emoji or image symbols
  • Spin duration, colours and an optional inner frame
  • Spin button: shown or hidden, its position and label
  • Spin, win and lose sounds, with a callback to choose the win sound from the result
  • A controller plus onSpinStart, onResult and onSpinEnd callbacks
